ClinCard, Your Biotrial Debit Card
We make payments quick and easy with the Biotrial ClinCard, a reloadable debit card available as a virtual or physical card, depending on your study type:
- Virtual ClinCard – Issued after your first screening visit for online purchases and mobile wallet use (Apple Pay & Google Pay).
- Physical ClinCard – Provided on check-out day for studies with inpatient stays, allowing ATM withdrawals and in-store purchases.
Payment schedule
You will receive a payment schedule during your screening visit and in your Informed Consent Form. Payments are processed within 48 hours after:
- Screening Visit – Payment issued after your visit.
- Inpatient Stay – Payment provided on the last day of your stay.
- Ambulatory Visits – Payment processed after each visit.
- Completion Bonus – Earn a bonus by completing all study procedures on time.
Virtual ClinCard (Initial Payments)
After your first screening visit, you will receive a virtual Visa ClinCard by email. Here is how to access and use it:
- Check Your Email – Look for an email from no-reply@clincard.com (check your spam folder).
- Access Your Card – Use your birth year as the access code and follow the verification steps.
- Use Your Card – Shop online or add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay for contactless payments.
Physical ClinCard (For Study Participants)
- Provided at check-out if you receive a dose in the study.
- Use it at ATMs, stores, or online just like a regular Visa debit card.
Managing Your ClinCard
To make the most of your ClinCard, it’s important to follow each step carefully. From registering your card to accessing your funds, every step ensures security and convenience. Below, you’ll find everything you need to get started and manage your card with ease.
Register & Secure Your Card
To register and secure your card, follow these steps:
- Go to myclincard.mycardplace.com.
- Enter your 16-digit card number and create a username and password.
- Complete the verification process to secure your account.
Add to Your Mobile Wallet
Follow these steps to add your ClinCard to your mobile wallet:
- Open Google Pay or Apple Pay.
- Follow the instructions to add your ClinCard for contactless payments.
Download the ClinCard App:
- Search for “My ClinCard” on the App Store or Google Play.
- Use the app to check your balance, transfer funds, and manage transactions.
Transfer Funds to Your Bank Account:
- Register Your Bank Account – Enter your routing & account number.
- Verify Your Account – A small test transaction will be made (1-2 business days).
- Transfer Your Funds – Once verified, transfer your balance to your bank account.
Access Cash & Check Your Balance
To withdraw cash or check your balance at an ATM:
- Insert Your Card – Enter your PIN.
- Select “Checking” – Choose this option for withdrawals and balance inquiries.
