At Biotrial, we are committed to making your clinical trial experience as smooth and supportive as possible. From your selection after screening to the completion of the study, here is everything you need to know about your journey with us.

Confirmation of Eligibility ✅

After your screening, our medical team will review your results. If you meet the eligibility criteria, you’ll receive a call from our screening team the next day (or after any additional tests) to confirm your participation.

Tip: Ask any questions during this call to feel confident about the next steps in your clinical trial journey.

1

Check-In Day 🏥

To ensure a hassle-free check-in experience, please follow these simple guidelines:

  • Fasting: If instructed, arrive in a fasting condition (no food for at least 8 hours before check-in).
  • Pack Smart: Bring only what you need based on the length of your stay—travel light!
  • Toiletries: Only travel-size toiletry items are allowed. If you forget something, we have you covered.
  • Entertainment: Feel free to bring your laptop or small video game consoles (larger devices are not permitted).
  • Parking: You may use our private parking lot—just provide your name and license plate to the front desk security guard.

To maintain a safe and controlled environment, the following items are strictly prohibited:

  • Food and beverages: Including water, juice, and other consumable liquids.
  • Glass bottles or containers:
  • Medications: Unless authorized by our medical staff (e.g., unopened contact lens solution under 3.5 oz).
  • Drugs or alcohol, gums, and mints:
  • Weapons or sharp objects: Except disposable or cartridge razors.

Tip: Double-check your packing list and fasting instructions the night before to avoid delays or disqualification.

2

During Your Stay 📺

Most studies involve an in-patient stay, which can range from a few days to several weeks. During this time, you will have access to amenities such as:

  • 🎥 Television with local channels and Netflix
  • 🎮 Video games
  • 🎲 Board games
  • 💻 Internet connectivity
  • 🧘 Yoga classes upon request

Tip: Bring a book, headphones, or entertainment options you enjoy—your comfort matters during your stay.

3

Ambulatory Visits 🩺

Some studies include outpatient visits, which usually last about 2 hours. These help us track your progress and ensure you’re doing well.

  • 📅 Arrive on time—our nurse will be ready to assist you.
  • 📱 If you can't make it, please call ahead.
  • 🚫 If fasting is needed, come in a fasting state.

Tip: Set a calendar reminder and prep the night before if fasting is required to avoid missing a visit.

4

End of Study 👋

The final step of your journey includes an end-of-study visit where we will:

  • 💉 Conduct a final health check to ensure you are doing well.
  • 📈 Collect any remaining data.
  • 💬 Give you the opportunity to ask questions or share feedback.

Once complete, you’ll receive a bonus payment as a thank-you for your participation.

Tip: Don’t hesitate to give feedback—it helps us make future clinical trials even better for participants.

5

Compensation 💸

After completing all required study visits and procedures, you'll receive financial compensation for your time and participation. This may include:

  • 💳 Screening Payment: Compensation for your screening visit, even if you're not enrolled (unless you fail the drug test).
  • 💼 Inpatient Stays: Payments issued at the end of your stay.
  • 📅 Outpatient Visits: Compensation provided after each visit.
  • 🎉 Completion Bonus: A bonus for completing the study as scheduled.

Tip: You’ll receive your payments via ClinCard, a secure reloadable debit card. Ask about your specific payment schedule during your screening visit.
