Eligibility criteria for a clinical trial are based on age, gender, medical history, and current health status. Understanding these criteria will help you determine if you are a suitable candidate.

To qualify for most Phase 1 clinical trials at Biotrial, you must be generally healthy. Your clinical trial eligibility is based on:

  • Body Mass Index (BMI): Must fall within the 19–30 or 18–32 range. Calculate your BMI here.

  • Medical conditions: No history of asthma, diabetes, depression, hypertension, ADHD, HIV, fatty liver, obesity, severe allergies, etc.

  • Prescriptions: You do not take prescribed medications.

  • Surgeries: No recent surgeries.

  • Supplements: You can pause over-the-counter medications if required.

  • Substance use: No regular use of marijuana or any other drugs.

Be Honest About Your Health

You’ll undergo a full check-up at your screening visit, including:

  • Blood work

  • Lab tests

  • A physical exam by our medical team

If you’re wondering, “am I eligible for a clinical trial?”, honesty is key. Misreporting your health history or lifestyle habits could lead to disqualification, and you will not be compensated for the visit.

When Will I Know If I’m Eligible?

After your screening, our team carefully reviews your results. If you meet the requirements, you’ll be contacted and officially invited to join the trial.

Sometimes, additional tests are needed. You’ll be informed the day after your screening (or once follow-up labs are complete).
